![]() ![]() Is this the cartridge, or does my Uzi have a poor chamber? Is the brass expanding because of a loose chamber, what could be the problem? It fires other 9mm rounds without a hitch, this is the only problem I've had. I've read that cases with MAXXTech and FM (Freedom Munitions. I assume this is there to reinforce the case head and to prevent bullet set back, but I want to know if it presents a safety issue for reloaders as it reduces the case capacity, and as a result could cause high pressures. I came across some AMMOLOAD and IMT 9mm brass that has what appears to be a sleeve (or step or ledge) inside. The lower thick brass ejected normally and the front part stuck in the chamber, the next round chambered enough to have the firing pin strike and cause a misfire in the casing exploding and an incomplete combustion and gunpowder spewed all over the weapon. I shoot sixty rounds and I get massive misfire problem twice.įor whatever reason, the brass at the front expanded and made a beautiful clean brake between the regular wall and the thick lower wall. I've put hundreds of rounds down range with it, no problems. I have a UC-9 for a fun little carbine, and a convenient carbine for the truck around the hills.
